Taiwanese tech giant Asus has launched its new 4G enabled ZenFone-series smartphone, the ZenFone Max, priced at Rs.9999, in India, on Monday.
The biggest highlight of the smartphone is its 5000mAh battery which assures long-lasting battery life.
The battery offers 37.6 hours of 3G talk time, which is equivalent to 32.5 hours of Wi-Fi web browsing or 72.9 hours of music playback or 22.6 hours of video playback when fully charged.
The handset features a 5.5-inch HD display and is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 quad-core processor. It has 2GB RAM and 16GB internal memory with an optional expandable memory of 64GB.
The rear camera is 13 megapixels while the front camera is 5 megapixels. ZenFone Max runs ZenUI 2.0 based on Android 5.0 Lollipop.
“Timed perfectly with the New Year, ZenFone Max takes our vision of providing luxury at an affordable price further. It combines a powerful battery with an innovative camera making it the perfect utility product for users who demand performance at all times,” Peter Chang, Region Head – South Asia & Country Manager for ASUS India, said in a statement.
“We are sure the phone will be appreciated by our patrons and take us a step closer to repeating the success we saw last year,” he added.
The pre-bookings for ZenFone Max started via Amazon.in and Flipkart.com. It will also be available at ASUS exclusive stores and other retailers from the second fortnight of January.
