A cafe in Chennai has come forward with a surprise for the fans of superstar Rajinikanth. Zuka, a cafe in Mylapore has made the life-size statue of the actor in chocolate in honor of him receiving Padma Vibhushan award from President Pranab Mukherjee, on Tuesday.
The 5 feet and 11 inches tall statue has been displayed in the cafe.
The cafe had recently conducted a survey among the fans of the star asking whether they want to see a statue of Rajini made of chocolate and they received tremendous response from the fans leading to the creation of the statue.
“It took us 168 hours and 600 kg of chocolate to make it,” Srinath Balachandran, the managing director of Zuka, told The Hindu.
The statue is modeled on a still from Rajinikanth’s upcoming movie Kabali.
Balachandran is really surprised as he gets calls from different parts of Tamil Nadu. He has received calls even from Madurai and Tiruchi. He wants to gift the statue to ‘Thalaivar’ himself.
Rajinikanth was in legal trouble in March when an injunction suit was filed in a local court in Bengaluru seeking an order preventing his fans from wasting thousands of liters of milk during the release of his films.
The court has issued a notice to him seeking his response to the suit filed.
