The release of superstar Rajinikanth’s films is like a festival for fans. The fans go all out from pouring milk on the banners and huge cutouts of the star to distributing sweets and arranging fireworks to celebrate the release.
As the opening date of the much-hyped movie “Kabali” is nearing, the fans are eagerly waiting to unveil their ways of celebration. But, if the reports are to be believed, Rajinikanth will not be there in India when the movie hits theaters.
India Today reported that Rajinikanth, who is in the US for a health check-up, will return only by the end of July. He was expected to reach India in the first week. But the journey was rescheduled due to some unknown reason.
Though there is no official confirmation, “Kabali” is likely to hit screens on July 22. If so, the superstar would be enjoying the release of the movie in the US.
The Pa. Ranjith-directed film has gone for the Censor Board formalities on July 8. Once it clears the formalities, the makers can arrange the release very soon.
Meanwhile, Rajinikanth’s brother Sathyanarayana Rao said that there is no need to worry about the health of the actor and he is in the US for an annual checkup.
Produced by Kalaipuli S Thanu, “Kabali” is the story of the rise of a gangster from rags-to-riches. The film also features Radhika Apte, Dinesh, Kalaiarasan, Dhansikaa, and Ritwika.
