More than 500 astrologers coming from around the world.
Pre-poll surveys have done their part in predicting the possible vote share of Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton in the presidential election. Now it’s the turn of astrologers. The International Society for Astrological Research will hold a meeting in California this week to discuss opinions on which candidate is going to win the November election.
Astrologers from across the world will get together and discuss the movement of stars to predict who will make it to the White House.
More than 500 members of the society from different countries including Serbia, Croatia, India, and Turkey will gather in Costa Mesa from Thursday to Sunday to discuss a wide variety of topics.
“Then the folks in the states will take a turn and everyone will have looked at enough charts to be brave enough to speak their minds,” Shelley Ackerman, a professional astrologist was quoted as saying by Los Angeles Times.
“I’ve always said astrology is celestial geometry — it’s myth and math. We look at planetary correspondence and historical patterns. We can make predictions using pattern recognition, but there’s always a wild card,” she added.
Raymond Merriman, the society’s president, along with some top astrologers held a press conference on Tuesday to brief the discussions to be taken place in the symposium.
Some astrologers predict that some unexpected surprise will happen in the fiercest US presidential elections ever, reported The Guardian.
“The US election occurs when the sun is traveling in the Via Combusta, the fiery way,” said Shelley Ackerman adding that “It could be something that is unexpected, very powerful and upsetting to a lot of people. That patch of the zodiac is literally when the shit hits the fan.”
She also noted that Halloween and Hillary Clinton’s birthday falls in the period.
“Something explosive with a capital E could happen,” said astrologist Kat Powell of Scottsdale, Ariz. As Mars indicates extreme activity and Pluto is linked to debt and taxation, “You could see acts of war and it may be a shock on a larger scale, going beyond the election,” said Powell.
However, some members see a winning position for Trump who is astrologically from Mars. Trump’s running mate Mike Pence is also from Mars and both will make America great again, said Ray Merriman.
“The Democrats are from Venus this year. Their slogan, Stronger Together, that’s Venus,” Merriman said.
Aleksandar Imsiragic, an astrologer from Siberia expects Trump’s victory considering his star positions.
“Mythologically he’s Orion – a constellation. It represents giants. It’s very important for the whole story of the United States, that’s why he finds his place here,” said Imsiragic.
Meanwhile, other astrologers are not willing to publicize their prediction until the conference while some see a certain level of ambiguity in their forecasts.
