The Shankar directed film is a sequel to the 2010 blockbuster ‘Enthiran’ (Robot).
The first teaser poster of superstar Rajinikanth’s much-awaited film 2.0 is out and it features actor Akshay Kumar standing below the gigantic title, in his villainous avatar.
The makers will release the first look of the movie on November 20 at a star-studded event at Yash Raj studios in Mumbai, which will be hosted by Karan Johar. The event will be also live streamed on Lyca productions’ YouTube channel.
Akshay Kumar, who marks his acting debut in the south, tweeted the poster with caption, “What awaits, no one knows!! Sit tight…just 4 days to go. Experience the #2Point0FirstLook on 20th Nov. at 5 pm. Are you ready?”
Earlier this year, Akshay’s look in the film was leaked and his entirely different look built all the more hype around the sci-fi movie. The Khiladi actor sports long eye bushes, grey hair and wears a feathered leather jacket in the pictures and if reports to be believed, he plays the character of Dr Richard, a scientist, who turns into a crow.
The Shankar directed film is a sequel to the 2010 blockbuster ‘Enthiran’ (Robot) and recently the team wrapped its shoot in Chennai.
2.0 is being made at a whopping budget of Rs 350 crore and is simultaneously produced in Tamil, Telugu and Hindi. It also features Amy Jackson, Sudhanshu Pandey and Adil Hussain and the music of the film is composed by AR Rahman.
Bankrolled by Lyca Productions, 2.0 is slated for an early 2017 release.
