Patel is the co-founder of The Daily Caller.
A CNN report suggests that Indian American Neil Patel, who was the advisor to vice president Dick Cheney during the Bush presidency, is in talks with Jared Kushner, son-in-law and senior advisor of President-elect Donald Trump, to make a comeback to the White House.
Quoting a source close to the discussion, CNN reported that Patel was offered a position as a White House advisor by Kushner and both have agreed to discuss more regarding the same in detail.
A transition official told CNN that Patel had earlier met Kushner but it was one of the many meetings he had after the election of his father-in-law as the president of the US.
Patel was the Chief Policy advisor to Vice President Dick Cheney during the Bush presidency. His credibility among Republicans as an “extremely smart and capable” official has added confidence to Kushner to consider him as one of his assistance.
After demitting the White House following the stepping down of Bush administration, Patel co-founded The Daily Caller, a conservative news and opinion website based in Washington, D.C that he started along with his friend and college roommate, Tucker Carlson.
A graduate of Worcester Academy, Patel received his Bachelors’ from Trinity College. Patel also has a Doctorate of Jurisprudence from the Georgetown University Law Center, where he was an associate editor of the Journal of Law and Policy in International Business.
