The girl is still in critical condition.
In a shocking incident, a 12-year-old mentally challenged girl was brutally gang-raped by three of her teachers and the headmaster in Bihar on Sunday.
According to medical reports from the Patna Medical College and Hospital, the girl is still in critical condition.
The incident came to light after the mother of the teen, who is the physical training teacher of the same school, after hours of search, found her on the rooftop of the school, struggling for life.
According to police officials, the incident happened while the girl’s mother was taking a class for her students.
Police recorded her statement, in which she named four accused – Aju Ahmad (headmaster of Kako secondary school), Atul Rehman, Abdul Bari and Md Shaukat (all teachers).
The police have confirmed that an FIR has been lodged against all four teachers on the basis of the statement provided by the victim’s mother.
“Prima facie, the incident appears true and raids are on to arrest the culprits,” said Kusum Bharti, station house officer of the women’s police station in Jehanabad.
According to the mother, the girl was mentally challenged and she used to keep a tab on her every now and then while she is at school.
“When I did not find her for some time, I started looking for her and reached the rooftop. She was found in a bad condition there,” she said.
She immediately took her daughter girl to the Kako police station, where police recorded her statement and referred her girl to the Jehanabad Sadar hospital.
“As my daughter’s condition worsened and the bleeding did not stop, I took her to Patna by train and admitted her at the Patna Medical College and Hospital. She was referred to the maternity ward after the emergency ward did not accept her case,” she said.
