Indian Film Festival of Los Angeles, that entered its 16th year, brings groundbreaking Indian cinema to a global stage.
Indian American actor Manish Dayal, who played the lead role in the movie ‘The Hundred-Foot Journey,’ will have his directorial debut movie ‘Fifteen Years Later’ screened at the Indian Film Festival of Los Angeles (IFFLA) this April.
The short film, which stars Manish Dayal himself, will be screened on April 15 as a world premiere during IFFLA.
In ‘Fifteen Years Later,’ the Indian American shares the screen with Golden Globe winner Rachel Brosnahan of ‘The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel’ fame, Matt McGorry of ‘How to Get Away with Murder’ and Tracy Mulholland who featured in ‘Crazy Stupid Love.’
The film tells the story of two young, and once promising, men who deteriorate psychologically and professionally post-9/11. Their lives come face to face fifteen years later on the heels of the presidential election when their tragedies ultimately align.

This year’s IFFLA will kick start on April 11 at Regal L.A. LIVE: A Barco Innovation Center in Los Angeles with the screening of the movie ‘In the Shadows,’ starring Manoj Bajpayee. The event and will conclude on April 15 with the screening of Village Rockstars, one of the most lauded Indian films on the festival circuit in the past year.
IFFLA, which has entered 16th year, is a nonprofit organization devoted to a greater appreciation of Indian cinema and culture by showcasing films and promoting the diverse perspectives of the Indian diaspora.
The five-day festival is the premiere platform for the latest in cutting-edge global Indian cinema and bridges the gap between the two largest entertainment industries in the world – Hollywood and Bollywood. The festival will showcase more than 25 films from the Indian filmmaking community across the globe, host the highly anticipated Opening and Closing red carpet Galas, and the Closing Awards ceremony.
