NY Consulate hosts interactive session with investors’ group.

NEW YORK: The Consulate General of India, New York, in association with GSF-Global Superangels Forum hosted an interactive session, “Technology Entrepreneurship in India and Beyond: A Cross-Border Dialogue.”
Acting Consul General Dr. Devyani Khobragade in her opening remarks gave an overview of the Indian government’s priorities and focus in the area of economic cooperation with the US government.
Emphasizing the immediate focus of the Indian government in the next quarter to manage the budget deficit and to attract investors from the US during the forthcoming visit of finance minister in sectors such as infrastructure, manufacturing, and agricultural processing, she said the main areas of cooperation with the US were sustainable development, energy, trade, education, health and nuclear power.
Rajesh Sawhney, founder of GSF Accelerator talked about fostering a cross-border dialogue between the key constituents of a rising and resurgent Indian digital ecosystem and the digital innovation ecosystem in the US, while GSF functioning as a “super-accelerator” by design.
GSF Superangels, a network of 20 iconic founders and investors, are dedicated to providing seed funding to the most promising Indian startups and also helps startups across the globe understand digital innovation climate in markets like India and provide an overview of the Indian entrepreneurship ecosystem, said Sawhney.
The session was attended by over 100 attendees, comprising of senior executives, IT experts, venture capital company officials, and investors.
