Film rakes in over Rs. 50 crores in 2 days in India.

NEW DELHI: Salman Khan’s ‘Kick’ has made over Rs. 50 crores in just two days in India, and it remains to be seen how many days more is it going to take for the film to join the 100 crore club in box office collections.
Kick, which released on July 25th, got Rs. 26 crores on opening day, and followed it up making Rs. 27.10 crores the next day.
With this, Salman and director Sajid Nadiadwala has broken the record of Kabir Khan’s ‘Ek Tha Tiger’ for collections over two days. Ek Tha Tiger, which had Salman in the lead as well, made Rs. 47.50 crores in two days. According to analysts, if Kick had been released on Eid, the collections would have been higher.
The film was screened over 4000 and 700 screens, respectively, in India and overseas. It has also been subtitled in seven languages and is expected to be released in more than 42 countries soon. It’s done well wherever it has been released so far.
In North America, Kick earned Rs. 2.04 crore on the opening day, which is the highest opening for a Salman movie overseas till date. In UK, it pulled in Rs. 71.24 lakh, while in Australia, it collected Rs. 37.19 lakh. In West Asia, where the Khans of Bollywood are quite popular, Kick raked Rs. 1.63 crore on the opening day.
The film also stars Jacqueline Fernandez, along with Randeep Hooda and Nawazuddin Siddiqui.
