Turning out to be a loyal, protective wife.

NEW DELHI: Turns out Kareena Kapoor is turning out to be a fiercely loyal and protective wife to her husband, the Chhote Nawab Saif Ali Khan.
The spunky ‘Jab We Met’ fame actress is unapologetic in defending Saif for his taking on the film Humshakals, which did well at the box office, but the actor himself was flayed for his poor performance.
In an interview to the Press Trust of India, Kareena said Saif is not comfortable doing slapstick comedies. She added that Khan has contributed much to Hindi cinema. Terming him as a ‘brilliant actor’, she said he has given noted films like Omkara and Parineeta, among others.
“He is such a brilliant actor. So, may be some people thought they did not want to see him in this kind of genre. You can see another actor in this genre but not see someone like Saif. So in that sense he thought it was a mistake,” she said.
Saif has admitted himself that signing Sajid Khan’s ‘Humshakals’ was a mistake, after the film received flak from critics.
Kareena herself has done comedy in films like ‘Golmaal’, but she draws a fine line between ‘Golmaal’ having a pure comedy theme and strong story and ‘Humshakals’ being a slapstick genre.
In a separate interview to the Indo Asian News Service, Kareena scotched rumors that Saif’s daughter with his ex-wife Amrita Singh, Sarah Khan, was going to jump into films. Saif has two daughters from his previous marriage, Sarah and Ibrahim.
“Sarah is not interested in films. She is in Columbia studying there. She has five more years to go. There are no such plans at all. I don’t know where these rumors are coming from,” Kareena said in the interview.
