Generosity towards Homi Adajania or to his Lady Love?

NEW DELHI: It’s said love is blind and makes one generous. One can see the perfect example in Homi Adajania’s Finding Fanny. In an industry where no top star works for free – even for a 5 second role, Ranveer Singh is doing a cameo in Finding Fanny for free.
Dressed in a perfect wedding suit outside a Catholic church, Ranveer plays the dead husband to Deepika Padukone. His appearance in the film is short but is considered a prominent one. It guarantees a dose of laughter to the audience.
Adajania reveals the story behind Ranveer playing the role in Finding Fanny, to The Indian Express.
“Ya! Ranveer is a friend man, so he did it for a laugh! We were sitting around and I was telling him the story of ‘Finding Fanny’ and he said I’ll play Gabo (the character) – he was laughing but was dead serious,” said Adajania.
He added, “I told him that I’d need him in Goa for half a day of shoot but we all had so much fun that he ended up staying for over a week after he was done.”
Talking about Ranveer’s enthusiastic nature, Adajania says, “Ranveer’s energy is infectious and when the material is right, I know we’ll be able to create some magic in a film someday.”
Finding Fanny is a comical story of five people who ventures through thick and thin to find Stefanie Fernandes (Fanny) and end up discovering love among themselves.
Adajania will be crediting Ranveer’s short appearance in the film. The film is produced by Fox Star Studio and Maddock Films. The cast includes several versatile actors, including Naseeruddin Shah, Dimple Kapadia, Pankaj Kapoor and Arjun Kapoor. It’s slated to release on September 12th.
The fans of Deepika-Ranveer have some other good news. After Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Goliyon Ki Raasleela Ram-Leela, both will be seen again in Bhansali’s nextBajirao Mastani which is a love story, set in the 1700s
