Update will begin from next week.

BENGALURU: Motorola announced the global Android Lollipop update for the high end Moto X 2nd generation smartphones last week and now they are planning to roll out the same in India starting from next week.
On installing the new update, the Moto X will have a sea change in the interface with notifications in the lock screen and Android L’s new Downtime and Interruption settings being major additions.
A few days ago Motorola released lollipop update for the Moto G second Generation devices in India. This announcement came a few weeks after they rolled out a soak test of Android Lollipop 5.0 for Moto G (second generation) users in India, who signed up for Motorola Feedback Program.
Following the trail of Motorola, LG had also released the Lollipop update for the LG G3 smartphones in India. One of the first smartphones to receive the update was Nexus devices and surprisingly they have already moved to the Android 5.0.1 update after fixing many bugs reported by the users in the Android 5.0.
Lenovo, which recently acquired Motorola from the hand of Google, announced that their recently released handset will start receiving the Android 5.0 Lollipop update soon but, has not come down to a particular date.
Motorola has opened a new page for helping users who find difficulty in installing the update to their Moto X devices.
