An Indian American entrepreneur has launched an innovative app that helps you to connect with people and share contact information effortlessly.
Ankur Jain, 25, who runs a company named Humin has launched the app called Knock Knock, for iOS and Android users.
Knock Knock allows users to share the information such as phone number, email, Facebook, Linkedin profiles, plus handles for Snapchat, Twitter and Instagram just by tapping their smartphone screen. It requires both the parties to have the app installed in their phones.
The app is backed by businessman Richard Branson, musician Wil.I.am and actress Sophia Bush. These celebrities have not only invested in the app, but also have starred in a launch video:
“We get rid of the awkwardness of meeting people,” Jain said to Forbes. “You forget people’s names or someone asks for your phone number, and you don’t want to give it out. Knock Knock makes meeting people so lightweight and low commitment”, he added.
Jain, who founded Humin with David Wyler in 2013, is also the founder and CEO of Panjia.
In 2011, Inc. magazine named Jain the “Best Connected 21-Year-Old in the World” and named Jain to its “30 Under 30” list. In 2012, Jain was named “30 under 30” by CSM.
