Apple has launched iPad Pro in India, starting at a price of Rs. 67,900.
Apple’s biggest iPad comes in 3 versions, priced as: 32GB WiFi for Rs. 67,900, 128 GB iPad Pro with WiFi for Rs. 79,900 and the 128GB WiFi plus Cellular connectivity, at Rs. 91,900.
The iPad Pro features 12.9-inch 2732 x 2048 pixel LED-backlit retina display. According to Apple, the 12.9-inch screen offers 78 percent more display area than that of iPad Air 2.
Under the glass lie a revamped multi-touch subsystem and 5.6 million brilliant pixels, making it the highest-resolution display of any iOS device. iPad Pro has a slim and light design – just 6.9 millimetres thin and 713 grams.
The device is available in gold, silver, and space gray, like the rest of the iPad line-up.
It has a four speaker audio system. Apple claims that iPad Pro automatically adjusts the orientation of the high frequencies according to how you’re holding it.
The tablet is powered by the new 64-bit A9X chip from Apple, which claims 1.8 times the performance that of the existing second-generation 64-bit A8X chip. Currently, 64-bit A8X chip runs on the iPad Air 2.
The company says that iPad Pro features a revamped storage controller that helps deliver performance better than some desktop computers. This increase read and write speeds, so users can quickly open large files.
It has a 1.2 mp FaceTime HD camera and an eight-megapixel rear camera with ƒ/2.4 aperture, autofocus, HDR and Panorama mode.
Apple Pencil is the other big addition to the iPad Pro. It comes with a built-in lightning connector and 15 seconds of charge gives over 30 minutes of use, according to Apple. Apple is promising up to 10 hours of battery life on the iPad Pro.
