Buddhist singer’s concert in NYC on March 26; in DC on April 2.

Popular Nepali rock star nun Ani Choying Drolma will perform in New York and Washington, DC.
The rock star nun, who has fans all over the world, is in the United States as a Guest of Honor of the United Nations on the occasion of the International Day of Happiness on March 20. She is scheduled to perform at the UN in New York on Sunday at 5 pm.
Additionally, Drolma will perform at the Colden Auditorium in New York City on March 26, 2016. The proceeds of that concert will go toward an earthquake relief initiative undertaken by the Grassroot Movement in Nepal (GMIN), a nonprofit organization.
In Washington, DC, Drolma will perform at Lisner Auditorium in George Washington University on April 2, 2016. to raise the funds for earthquake relief effort of Gorkhaly Foundation.
The 44-year-old has recorded more than a dozen albums during her 16-year music career.

Drolma, who was introduced to the outside world by American guitarist Steve Tibbetts in 1997, with the album Chö, has collaborated with a number of internationally renowned musicians.
She sang Indian maestro AR Rahman’s Zariya with Jordanian Farah Siraj in 2013.
A UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador to Nepal, Drolma also does extensive humanitarian work.
