Director Ram Gopal Varma, known for his controversial remarks, has once again come up with a statement regarding his movie Veerappan.
A sequence in the upcoming film will be about a plot sketched by Veerappan to kidnap superstar Rajinikanth in the same way he had kidnapped Kannada superstar Rajkumar, a report published in Bombay Times stated.
The report further added that the film maker learnt about this plan through close alias of the bandit.
In a tweet, Ram Gopal Varma said that Veerappan thought himself to be more popular than Rajinikanth, and once demanded the government to make film based on his life.
The upcoming film ‘Veerappan’ showcases one of the biggest manhunts in history. Based on the life of the infamous sandalwood smuggler, it narrates the story through the point of view of those who were involved in his encounter.
