‘Pinch to Zoom’ allows users to zoom the photos and videos.
Instagram has rolled out a new feature called ‘Pinch to Zoom’ that helps users to zoom the photos and videos, on Explore or on profiles for iOS devices.
“Today we’re bringing ZOOM to Instagram on iOS! Pinch to Zoom on photos & videos in feed, on profiles and on Explore,” Instagram announced through their official handle.
The new feature allows users to zoom a picture by just pinching on the image and moving the fingers away. The picture pops back to its original size when you take your fingers off the screen.
It will also work on videos, allowing a user to have a closer look at a video without the video pausing.
The recent v9.2 update also brings the ability to capture photos and videos better in the dark. A new low-light button now appears when darkness is detected by the camera.
The Zoom feature will be available on Android over the following weeks.
Last month, Instagram introduced ‘stories’ for the app, a snapchat-like feature gives users the option to make pictures and videos to disappear automatically after 24 hours. ‘Stories’ didn’t allow users to like an image or post a comment, but followers can send message to the uploader.
Instagram Stories got its first update within couple of week since its launch. The update allows users to zoom in while recording videos and switch between the front-and rear-facing cameras easily.
The company had completely redesigned their logo back in May, ditching the brown camera icon in favour of a simple camera icon design with bright and purple hues.
