Varun Jain scores a perfect score in SAT exams.

WASHINGTON, DC: Varun Jain, an Indian American boy from California, has scored a perfect score of 2400 on his SAT. Why is this news? Because he’s only 14 years old, graduated from Middle school this year.
When his father, Vivek, a physician, woke Varun up early one morning and told him about the news, Varun simply replied “Wow” before promptly going back to sleep, reported ABC.
In 2012, more than three million students took the Scholastic Aptitude Test (SAT) as part of the process for applying to colleges and universities in the United States. Out of those three million, only 360 were able to score a perfect 2400. That’s how difficult – and rare – such a score is. Varun has done this despite not even being in high school yet.
Varun, who also recently completed the AP Calculus BC course which is typically reserved only for high school seniors, is not just a talent in the classroom. He has numerous awards from many extracurricular clubs, such as Model United Nations, debate team, and chess. He is also a star athlete; Varun is the highest scoring point guard in basketball at his school, and is also a tennis player. And he plays both the sitar and the violin. A CD of his will be released soon, said ABC.
“I tell him, ‘Varun, this is a gift for you,'” said his father. “[We] have seen quite a few geniuses here and there, but they only have a gift for one thing. Varun has an ability that is so well-rounded.” Both his father and mother are physicians by profession.
Varun has already won a scholarship from Johns Hopkins University to take classes for credit at a local community college. He plans to graduate from grade school early before going on to either Harvard or MIT.
