Students have to resolve F-1 status with DHS.

WASHINGTON, DC: The University of Northern Virginia (UNV) has been ordered to shut itself down immediately by the State Council of Higher Education for Virginia.
UNV, which calls itself the most popular higher education institution for students of Indian origin, has been order to “cease operations immediately.”
Because the majority of the students at UNV are on F-1 student visas, the Department of Homeland Security is demanding that these students come forward and resolve certain issues related to their immigration status and optional practical training.
The thinking is that UNV did not properly authorize, or even really look at, where its students were working and how many hours they were working while enrolled at the institution, both of which are heavily restricted under the F-1 student visa.
This is not the first time the UNV has been in controversy. In 2011 its campus was raided by the FBI and ICE (Immigration and Customs Enforcement). Its former chancellor was once accused of having a sex dungeon that he maintained and ran.
The UNV was shut down on July 16th but this fact was not made public until over a week later.
