Love knows no boundaries.

WASHINGTON, DC: In a tale fit for a Hollywood (or Bollywood) movie, a California woman named Adriana Peral has forsaken her modern lifestyle and moved to a village in Haryana, all after meeting an Indian man online.
Peral, a Latina American, met Haryana-based Mukesh Kumar on Facebook, and after a brief online romance, flew to India to meet him. The 41 year-old Peral and the 25 year-old Kumar hit it off instantly, and last November, mere months after they first met online, got married. Peral then moved to India to be with Kumar, leaving behind her life in California as a receptionist at an acupuncturist’s office.
She even has a daughter, named Lucy, who is 25 years old and whom Peral left behind in the US to be with her new husband in India. Peral’s daughter expressed doubts about her mother being safe in India and being able to adapt to the Indian way of life, but Peral assuaged her fears and left anyway.
Speaking to the Daily Mail, Peral admitted that several people told her Kumar was a scam, a fake internet creation that was duping her into spending money on a pointless trip to India. But Peral said that as soon as she saw him at the Indira Gandhi airport in New Delhi, she heaved a huge sigh of relief knowing that he is real.
She is now a housewife on a farm in Popran, a far cry from the gym-going, party-hopping lifestyle she led in the US. She lives roughly 30 minutes from the nearest major town, has to go outside to use the bathroom, and showers with buckets in the same area as the farm cows are cleaned.
