Hari Ravichandran, Ashish Pandey make Forbes’ list of most powerful American CEOs under the age of 40

Both in the top 20 of the list.

WASHINGTON, DC: Hari K. Ravichandran and Ashish Pandey have been named among Forbes Magazine’s list of the most powerful American CEOs under the age of 40, making them the only Indian Americans on the list at the 19th and 20th spots, respectively.

Ravichandran, 38, is the co-founder and CEO of Endurance International Group, which is one of the largest website hosting firms in the world. Co-founded by another Indian American, Ravi Agarwal, in 1997, the company is based in Burlington, Massachusetts. It manages nearly 10 million domain names on the web from around 3 million clients. Formerly known as BizLand, the company has an estimated market capital of $2.1 billion.

He earned his bachelor’s degree from Mississippi State University in computer engineering, and also studied electrical engineering at Stanford University. He earned his M.B.A. from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania. In his role as the CEO of Endurance International Group, Ravichandran “oversees all aspects of the business, but focuses most of his time on strategy and growth initiatives within [the company].”

Pandey, also 38, is the CEO of Altisource Asset Management, a position he has filled since December of 2012. The company “provides portfolio management and corporate governance services to investment vehicles that own real estate related assets,” according to information on its website, and has an estimated market capital of $1.8 billion.

He holds a B.S. degree in engineering from the Shri Govindram Seksaria (SGS) Institute of Technology in Indore, India, and an MBA from the Indian Institute of Management. In his current position, Pandey is responsible “for the overall strategic direction of the company.”

Number one on the list this year is 40 year-old Google CEO Larry Page, while the next highest is Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg, who is also the youngest on the list at just 29 years old. The top five business leaders on the list was rounded out by Yahoo CEO Marissa Mayer at #3, Icahn Enterprises CEO Keith Cozza at #4, and Burger King Worldwide CEO Daniel Schwartz at #5. Mayer is also the only woman on the list.
