WASHINGTON, DC: Indian American technology honcho Gurbaksh Chahal has escaped jail time in the domestic abuse case against him, filed by a former girlfriend, Juliet Kakish, who alleged he threatened, beat and abused her brutally 117 times in his apartment at Rincon Hill in California, including putting a pillow on her face, last year.
The dashing 31-year-old millionaire, who now runs technology company RadiumOne, pleaded guilty last week to misdemeanor domestic violence and battery charges last week resulting in three years of probation, 52 weeks in a domestic violence training program, and 25 hours of community service, reported UPI.
The reason being attributed to Chahal getting away by paying only a $500 fine apart from pleading to the two misdemeanors, is that the judge in the case, San Francisco Superior Court Judge Brendan Conroy refused to allow a surveillance video which had allegedly recorded the entire beating, to be released to the public or used as evidence. The judge said police illegally seized the surveillance video from the apartment but the prosecution argued the tape would have been erased if police had waited for a warrant.
Also, midway through the case, Kakish stopped cooperating with prosecutors and refused to testify against Chahal.
According to court documents, Chahal beat up his girlfriend after he allegedly learned she had gone to Las Vegas with another man and cheated on him. According to reports, Chahal had used violence against her earlier in the year, on July 4th.
Chahal had denied the charges, and was out on bail of $1 million, which was increased from an initial $125,000. His passport was also confiscated at the time.
Born Tarn Taran Sahib, Chahal grew up mostly in San Jose, California. The self-made millionaire dropped out of high school at age 16 to create his first business venture, ClickAgents, which he later sold for $40 million in 2000.
His next company, BlueLithium, was bought my Yahoo! in 2007 for $300 million, allegedly in cash. He is currently the Chairman and CEO of RadiumOne.
All of his companies are involved in advertising, and his current company was recently valued at over $500 million. He received an honorary degree in commercial science from Pace University 2010, and was proclaimed one of the world’s richest and fittest men by Men’s Health magazine in 2011. The TV show “Extra” called him “America’s most eligible bachelor.” His personal net worth is said to be at least $200 million.
Chahal calls himself a “die hard entrepreneur,” and is one of the most recognizable Indian-American businessmen in the world.

this guy is out there now because he’s making tons of money.
He’s actually using his wealth now to pretend like he’s actually a player. My great guess is that he paid someone to set him up with this lady.
The guy was going to work at 16 years old without any driver’s license or form of ID. These are total facts people. He owned a gold lexus 400 and license plates named chahal. Not sure back then if you were able to get a license at that age or he was 16? This is his story. so if he is telling everyone the truth and bragging about selling his company at 16……he broke the law by driving illegally.
check the facts people.
he’s not a player. He used to ask me to go to san francisco to clubs using fake ids. Then he would ask me exactly what to say to women for pick up lines.
he’s not a player
there are 2 possible outcomes here people:
either he paid her off big time to shut up or he’s still sleeping with her and paying her off ( both )
