A Twitter promise fulfilled.

BANGALORE: Actor, producer, writer, and publicity-hungry Kamal Rashid Khan has left his motherland, to which he had so proudly dedicated his ‘Deshdrohi’ so many years ago. The reason? He had sworn on twitter (because that’s what the platform is for) that if Narendra Modi becomes the Prime Minister of India he would leave this country forever and never come back.
So there was KRK on a one-way journey out of India. But he did not go before pulling one last swing that attracted the entire country’s and the media’s attention.
This spotlight seeking young celebrity claimed, before leaving, that the great Khans of Bollywood, other than him that is, namely Aamir, Shah Rukh and Salman, had also claimed that they would leave the country if Narendra Modi would become the PM of this country. He even went as far as creating screenshots of fake tweets by Shah Rukh Khan and posting them all over the social media websites, where they spread like wildfire.
Shah Rukh, in spite of his happy go lucky on screen personas is kind of a no-nonsense guy in real life. His immediate response was a tweet, “Good time to tell all fools who r talking of a tweet that I didn’t tweet, u suck as much as the grammar of that fake tweet and I’m being kind.”
This is not the first time a publicity-hungry, attention-seeking celebrity of B-town has done something so arbitrary to get the people’s attention. Who can forget Poonam Pandey, before she joined the films, promising to bare it all if the Indian team would win the cricket world cup in 2011. As luck would have it, the boys in blue were successful but Miss Pandey did not fulfill her promise for whatever reasons.
