A different persona is born.

BANGALORE: The trailer for Salman Khan’s new action comedy-cum-superhero film Kick released on YouTube on June 15 and within a few hours it crossed more than a million views.
Kick is something that fans of Salman have never seen before. Salman is not only delivering crass dialogues, kicking ass, performing death defying stunts, which is, as all his fans knows, nothing extraordinary for Sallu. But in the trailer of Kick we see Salman wearing a mask for the first time.
Mask? Does that mean he is a superhero? Not necessarily. Salman Khan is always a superhero. He never needed superpowers to beat up scores of goons at once. But from what can be understood from the trailer, he is a vigilante who is quite often a pain in the ass for the authorities, whether it is the local policemen or big shot cops like Randeep Hooda’s character.
The film gets its title from Salman or Devil’s affinity for dangerous stunts, which he performs in order to get his kick. Basically Devil is an adrenaline junkie and to get his fair share of excitement he can go to almost any length, endanger anyone’s life, or do just about anything. But like all Bollywood heroes he has a good heart and in the end never really brings any real harm to anyone.
Jacqueline Fernandez plays Shaina, a sweet and innocent girl who encounters Devil by some ill-begotten luck, and in the process gets involved with his death defying acts. But the surprise visit in the trailer was none other than Gangs of Wasseypur’s Faizal Khan, Nawazuddin Siddiqui. From the looks of it he plays the antagonist of this tale, and his challenge is to find out for himself that who could really be a bigger shaitan (Devil) than he is.
Salman obviously is in touch with his humorous appeal while never letting go of his badass persona. He is tough, funny, a lover boy and he fights for justice. The film seems to have a great look, with action sequences shot in various locations of Europe like Glasgow and Warsaw and other countries like South Korea.
The dialogues of the film stand out as well. The one that catches the attention the most is perhaps, “Aap Devil Ke Piche, Devil Aapke Piche… Too much fun.â€
