Popular storyteller has many fans in Pakistan.

NEW DELHI: Popular writer Neelesh Misra, who has introduced a new way of storytelling in the sub-continent, will host a live storytelling show on August 15 at the India-Pakistan border, bowing to the demand of Pakistani listeners.
Misra, in association with radio channel 92.7 Big FM, which airs his show “Yaadon ka Idiot Box with Neelesh Misra”, will travel to the Wagah-Attari border in Punjab to narrate stories written by him and by members of his ‘Mandli’ (team), said a statement.
Misra has many Pakistani fans residing near the border, and in places like Lahore. They use to message him via social media. Misra and his band will also sing some songs.
Neelesh will be accompanied by Mumbai’s RJ Siddharth and Delhi’s RJ Prateek who will take numerous messages to Border Security Force soldiers, from their families.
Neelesh is a Bollywood scriptwriter-lyricist, award-winning journalist, author, live performer and credited with reinventing oral storytelling in the country.
He is associated with 92.7 big FM from 2010 and has been narrating his stories on radio. His show ‘Yaadon ka Idiot Box with Neelesh Misra’ reaches 42 million listeners across 45 cities every week. It is aired every week night and with repeats of five hours on Sundays.
Misra also runs India’s first comprehensive rural newspaper Gaon Connection. He has just finished writing his next film script, and is working on his TV foray as storyteller with his fiction GEC show as well as the rural newsmagazine show “Hamara Gaon Connection”, which has clocked ratings better than many popular fiction TV shows.
