Actor to be a love expert on TV, as Raja Natwarlal hits theaters

MUMBAI: Emraan Hashmi, who is tagged as a serial kisser, is set to give advice on love on the small screen, before his next film Raja Natwarlal hits theaters next week.
“I would never do a con film because I find them very superficial, but this one has a heart, a soul and emotions flowing in. There is a dramatic reason for the character to play a scamster. So, that’s what I liked,” Emraan told PTI when asked about Raja Natwarlal.
For the promotions of the movie, Hashmi, whose last couple of movies – Ek Thi Daayan and Ghanchakkar – were serious thrillers, says he is happy to finally star in a full-fledged, entertaining, commercial film which he enjoys doing the most.
“It is about giving the audience the ‘paisa vasool’ cinema. I am coming back to the basics with this commercial, masala entertainer. And my audience somehow was missing out on that for the longest time. So this is a gift to them,” he said.
Apart from good music and a plot riddled with many twists, what makes Raja Natwarlal interesting is the unique relationship shown between Emraan Hashmi and Paresh Rawal, who plays his mentor in the film.
Calling the movie a family film with ‘kisses’ , the actor in an interview with the Bombay Times spoke of how he had to work hard to get his swagger right as he plays a cool, urban character.
The actor’s “Raja Natwaral” will release Aug 29, but before that his fans can catch him on Bindass’ new show “Pyaar Ka The End”.
The show speaks of how a love story can go down a wrong way and Emraan will give advice on how to deal with complex situations and prevent regretful actions to help a relationship read a statement.
The episode, which will be aired Friday, revolves around Suraj who is dating Juhi but cheats on her with his boss Smita. Seeing the Bollywood serial kisser take up the role of the relationship counselor will be quite amusing and entertaining.
Raja Natwarlal will be Emraan’s first release of 2014, more than a year post the release of his last venture Ghanchakkar.
