BANGALORE: The Hyderabad based mobile manufacturing company Celkon has expanded its range of budget level smartphones with the launch of Millennium Glory Q5, a new smartphone priced at Rs. 7,299.
Celkon, the company that launched Campus A35 – the cheapest Android KitKat smartphone in India costing just Rs. 2,999 – has grabbed the attention of many gamers with the release of Millennium Glory Q5. The new smartphone comes with preloaded games from Gamesoft that include popular games such as Prince of Persia, The Avengers – The Mobile Game, Bubble Bash and Modern Combat 4: Zero Hour.
Millennium Glory Q5 runs on the latest version of Android KitKat powered with a 1.3 GHz quad core processor supported by 1GB of Ram. The dual SIM 3G smartphone also sports a 5 inch IPS qHD display. Millennium Glory boasts of supporting 5 MP rear camera with LED Flash and a 1.3 MP front camera.
In addition to the hardware features put together in Millennium Glory Q5 at such a low price; Celkon also offers Millennium Q5 customers free magnetic flip covers worth Rs. 1000. The official statement of the company says that the phone supports multiple Indian languages.
The new release is the seventh in the series of KitKat based smartphones from Celkon; the others being Celkon Campus A15K, Signature Two A500, Millennium Elite Q470, Millennium Power Q3000, Millennium Vogue Q455, Campus Mini A350, Millennium Dazzle Q44, and the Campus A35K.
Celkon Millennium has an 8 GB internal storage capacity which is expandable up to 32GB by adding MicroSD card. Both the SIM cards support 3G, adding to other connectivity features like Bluetooth, WiFi, and GPS/A-GPS/GPRS/EDGE.
One of the drawbacks of the phone is its bare minimum battery of just 1800mAh which could drain out completely within a few hours if the user is an avid gamer.
