BANGALORE: iPhone 6 sales in Australia had an ominous start with one of the first customers to put hands on the latest iPhone 6 losing grip and shattering the phone in front of the TV camera.
The incident happened in Perth when a TV reporter approached Jack Cooksey, a teenager who was trying to share his joy after become the first few to catch hold of the iPhone after waiting in long queues.
Jack tried opening the iPhone 6 box and the oops! moment came when the box opened, throwing the new iPhone 6 to the pavement, breaking apart the back cover.
It has almost become customary for news reporters to take interviews of the first few people who got the opportunity to buy the iPhones and unfortunately what Jack thought to be a lucky day didn’t last long.
Jack later said that he was both in excitement and panic to get the box opened but fortunately his iPhone 6 didn’t get damaged as the plastic that covered the new iPhone saved it from scratches.
