NEW YORK: In a first of its kind initiative spearheaded by one of the top community leaders in the US, Dr. Thomas Abraham, a select group of Indian American and Indo Canadians working in the applied research/technology business arenas in North America are coming together in New York for a two-day summit to help the state of Kerala in India to leapfrog into next generation technologies.
The meet, hosted by The Indian American Kerala Center based in Elmont, New York, will be held on November 14-15th at the LaGuardia Plaza Hotel in East Elmhurst (Queens), New York. The meet would be followed by The Kerala Center’s 22nd Annual Awards Banquet, at the World’s Fair Marina, in Flushing, New York.
The list of the people organizing the meet as well as backing it, reads like a Whos Who of the Malayalee community in the US and India.
The chief patron of the summit titled ‘New Kerala Initiative’ has the chief minister of Kerala Oommen Chandy as the Chief Patron. P.K. Kunhalikutty, Minister of Industries and IT, Kerala, is its Patron. The Advisors are: P.H.
