BENGALURU: After launching Eluga S last week, Panasonic launched its new smartphone model in the same series named Eluga I for Rs. 10900, on Monday.
The new Panasonic Eluga I is a 5 inch full HD smartphone powered by a 1.3 Ghz Quad Core Processor. The device is currently available in two colour variants, White and Silver.
The Quad core processor of the new Eluga I is coupled with a 1GB RAM to make the device faster against some of the international competitors like Moto G and Asus ZenFone 5, which are smartphones in the same price range.
The Full HD 5 inch display of the new Panasonic device comes with a pixel resolution of 1280×720. The device also has an inbuilt storage capacity of 8 GB expandable up to 32 GB using microSD card.
Eluga I runs on the Android 4.4 KitKat mobile operating system, which is the best offered in the price range. For users who wish to get Lollipop powered smartphones in the same price range they will have to wait till January when Google release Lollipop update for Android One smartphones.
The camera department of the smartphone features an 8MP rear camera with autofocus and LED flash, and a 2 MP selfie front camera. The device is backed up by a 2000mAh battery that can probably last for a whole day.
