BENGALURU: A new report appeared in Phone Arena tipping that Chinese smartphone manufacturer ZTE might launch a new 64-bit budget smartphone called Blade V2 in the international market soon.
According to the report, ZTE Blade V2 features a 5-inch HD display with a pixel resolution of 720×1280, which is a similar kind of touch display offered by Xiaomi Note and Yureka in India, but a .5 inch smaller.
As said earlier, the 64 Bit processor of this budget smartphone is its USP and this is offered by the 1.2 GZZ Quad-core Snapdragon 410 processor, which is a powerful combination of features and performance and battery efficiency. In addition to this, the processor also has integrated CAT4 4G LTE. The Snapdragon processor is coupled with 1GB RAM and Adreno 306 GPU for faster processing of applications and graphic heavy games.
The ZTE Blade V2 also has a 13 MP rear camera with LED flash in addition to a 5 MP Selfie camera with gesture controls. The device has an inbuilt storage capacity of 8GB, expandable up to 32 GB using MicroSD card.
Other than the 4G LTE connectivity option, the device also has all major connectivity features available for a budget level smartphone including, Bluetooth, WI-FI, GPS and OTG.
It is assumed that the device will feature a 2,400 mAh battery, which will be adequate for a less power hungry Snapdragon processor. The video teased by ZTE via the official YouTube channel has revealed that the device runs on Android KitKat out-of-the-box.
Indian smartphone industry wasn’t familiar with the 64-bit processors until HTC launched Desire 820 on September last year followed by Yu Yureka this year; both featuring 64-bit Snapdragon 615 processor. If ZTE plans to launch the device soon in Indian market, it will become one among the early manufacturer to offer the power of 64 bit processing. But, until now there is no official word from ZTE about the launch of Blade V2, thus we are still unclear about the pricing and availability of the device.
