Earlier, Samsung had sent invitations to media houses for an event on March 1, which could see the unveiling of the new Galaxy S6. The South Korean giant has kept the spec sheet of Galaxy S6 a top secret but, going by rumors the device is expected to feature a 2560 x 1440 Quad HD touchscreen display with a 16MP IMX240 camera sensor camera on the rear, and a 5MP front camera.
The Galaxy S6 is expected to be powered by Snapdragon 810 processor coupled with 3GB RAM. In addition to the snapdragon processor, the company is also rumored to have used the new 64-Bit based Exynos 7420 chipset with octa-cores. The new Galaxy S6 is expected to come with Android Lollipop out-of-the-box.
It is also speculated that the device might feature a swipe based fingerprint sensor, a direct attack on Apple iPhone’s Touch ID feature.
Coming to the design front of the Galaxy S6, the image released by T- mobile and Samsung suggests that the device could have a curved display like its predecessors Galaxy Edge and Round. There is a section of people who say the device could for the first time in the history feature a three-sided display wherein the display fills the sides of the phone.
On the other hand, T-Mobile came open saying that they have surpassed the rivals Sprint to become the third most popular carrier in the US.
Now, Samsung fans have to just wait another week to find out what the Korean firm has to offer them when they release the Galaxy S6. Samsung Fans who can’t wait until then can watch the Galaxy S6 concept video by Ivo Marić and Jermaine Smit.
