BENGALURU: Bollywood star Salman Khan might be hoping that the whole legal issues involving him – be it the 2002 hit-and-run case or the 1998 killing of two Chinkara deers and a black buck, are just nightmares, gone when he wakes up.
But, unfortunately for him, that is not the case.
The Dabangg hero is going through a real tough time. Now, adding to the litany of cases against him, a fresh case has been filed against him by an individual named Ravindra Dwivedi, who has accused the actor of abuse and robbery.
In the FIR filed against Salman, Dwivedi, a member of Brashtachaar Nirmoolan Samiti, has alleged that the actor assaulted him while boarding a flight and then asked his bodyguards to snatch some of the important documents he was carrying.
R C Nagbhire, senior inspector, airport police, was quoted by The Indian Express, saying, “Dwivedi said he was carrying important documents regarding the demise of BJP leader Gopinath Munde, which he was supposed to hand over to the government. During the flight, Dwivedi alleged, Salman Khan along with his bodyguard Vishal got into a fight with him and snatched the documents from him.”
An Andheri court that heard the case of Dwivedi instructed the airport police to file an FIR against Salman for causing harm (section 323 IPC), for intentionally insulting so as to provoke and breach peace, criminal intimidation (Section 504 and 505 IPC) and finally under IPC section 392, robbery.
Dwivedi had approached the court saying that the airport police refused to register a case against Khan, after the aforementioned incident happened inside a Mumbai-Delhi flight on November 4, 2014.
Magistrate AD Lokhande’s order directs the concerned police officer of airport police station to investigate the matter and file their report at the earliest.
