No new versions after that.

BENGALURU: Windows users who are eagerly waiting for the next version of the OS to hit the stores will have their wish fulfilled come this summer, when Windows 10 will roll out. But they will have to live with that version for a long time, as the tech giant is reportedly planning to stop newer versions thereafter.
But it doesn’t mean that Microsoft will do away with its OS completely. The new move is to overhaul the current product and rather than rolling out one major OS in a gap of two to three years, the company plans to offer all its users regular free updates.
Windows was the king among OS’s 10 years ago but, as the saying goes says, ‘No king has ruled for ever’ and with the advent of smartphones and other competitors like Apple, the popularity of Windows started diminishing.
Apple and Android became most sought after operating systems for smartphones and tablets as they provided user Over-The-Air OS update, that too free of cost. But, until now, Windows users were denied any such option and were asked to wait for months or even years to get the update in the form of a new OS.
But after the launch of Windows 10, the company will roll out regular update, just like the chrome update that we seldom notice. The major caveat that windows users faced is regarding the system requirements needed for each new OS.
According to The Verge, Microsoft has altered the way its engineering and in the future, instead of big releases, Microsoft will rollout regular updates for the OS. This can be done by splitting the different sections like the start menu, app screen etc., and then the update will affect the entire Windows Core system.
Microsoft has already rolled out the preview version of Windows 10 and apps such as Xbox and Mail have been engineered to receive regular updates. It is expected that the office of Windows 10 will also receive over-the air update rather than waiting for a big release in a year’s time.
All this essentially mean that from the next version of Windows users will receive regular updates just like Android and iOS devices.

What is it called when India creates a technology that imprisons all Indians in America into FEMA camps like the Japanese during WW2.
When India helps create a technology that results in the mass incarceration of people from India into torture prison camps around the world.
Ironic.
Karma?
Only took 20 *YEARS* for MS to come up with that idea.
Good job!
