BENGALURU: Micromax launched on Friday the next version of its phablet, Canvas Doodle 4, in India, at Rs. 9,499. The device has now been listed in all major e-commerce websites and is also available through retail stores across the country.
The new Doodle, like its predecessors, is a dual SIM smartphone with a 6-inch 540×960 pixels resolution IPS display. The device runs on the latest version of Android Lollipop 5.0 out-of-the-box and comes in White colour variant.
The new Canvas Doodle 4 is powered by a 1.3Ghz quad core MediaTek processor, coupled with 1GB RAM. The device comes with an inbuilt storage capacity of 8GB, expandable up to 32GB using MicroSD card.
Coming to the camera department of the new Canvas Doodle 4, Micromax has assembled an 8MP rear camera with LED flash and autofocus in addition to a 2MP secondary selfie camera with fixed focus.
The device is backed by a 3000mAh battery, which is a jumbo sized one that is capable of powering the device for a whole day. Doodle also has a hand full of sensors such as ambient light, gravity, and proximity.
It also has all general connectivity features such as Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, 3G and OTG. Like all other Micromax devices, the new Canvas Doodle 4 also comes pre-loaded with a host of useful free apps such as Snapdeal, Quickr, Hotstar and Newshunt. Interestingly, the device also comes preloaded with premium subscriptions of Evernote and Skitch.
