WASHINGTON, DC: Two adults and two teenagers were killed inside a home in Holly Hill, about an hour from Charleston, South Carolina, according to local news outlets, while another child has been taken to the hospital.
Local media outlets revealed that officers were called to the home at 7:10 a.m. Wednesday morning and immediately found a man shot dead in the front yard.Follow @ambazaarmag
After entering the home, deputies found 28-year-old Krystal Hutto dead in a bedroom, and in another bedroom they found 14-year-old Tamara Alexia Alemeshia Perry and 17-year-old Shamekia Tyjuana Sanders dead from gunshot wounds, according to WIS-TV.
Deputies noticed a green Mercedes that was known to be at the home missing from the driveway, and after a search it was found about 15 miles away in Vance, burned.
“That car has a relationship to this house,” Sheriff Leroy Ravenell said said during a press conference Wednesday afternoon. “That car has been seen here on many occasions.”
The brown, single-story house is nestled behind a stand of tall pine trees along U.S. 176, according to the Associated Press. Across the highway is a cornfield.
Ravenell disclosed that investigators had not yet determined the relationships of the victims to each other. Autopsies are slated to be performed Thursday in Newberry.
“We are actively following some good leads,” Ravenell said. “We believe this is an isolated incident … so we don’t have anybody out there committing crimes, I hope.”
“We will not rest until we arrest the person that killed these individuals,” Ravenell stated.
