WASHINGTON, DC: During a brazen heist in broad daylight, a man walked into a Florida hospital and walked out with a $48,000 operating room table, according to the Smoking Gun.
Police disclosed Lance Sayre, 52, was arrested and charged with burglary and grand theft on Saturday for stealing a Berchtold Operating Bed from the Morton Plant Hospital in Clearwater, Fla., but was released on $15,000 bond, reported the New York Daily News.

His arrest came six days after the alleged theft. The Tampa resident allegedly pushed the table into the back of a white van and drove off. Cops reported that the defendant was “captured on video,” but an arrest affidavit does not indicate whether police recovered the stolen surgical table.
According to his LinkedIn page, Sayre, a Tampa resident, has worked as a “master field service technician” in the “medical devices” field.
An arrest affidavit lists Sayre as self-employed, reported the Smoking Gun. Sayre’s rap sheet includes prior arrests for aggravated battery and contempt of court, and a 1985 conviction for felony grand theft, the online publication revealed.
