BENGALURU: India’s burgeoning smartphone market has very high regard for Apple smartphones. But when it comes to sales, most people think the iPhone is a gadget only for the rich.
The first ever India specific ad of iPhone 6 is addressing the issue upfront by conveying the message that even the middle class can own an iPhone on easy EMI basis. The ad, which has a wedding day as its plot, is aimed at clearing a few misconceptions about the device. The ad says, “We know how hard it is to wait for something special.”
Even though the ad is not the first of its kind, it will definitely have an impact when televised because the market of Samsung – Apple’s major competitor in India, has come down and this is the perfect time to field an ad.
The iPhone 6 commercial created by Red Ice Film was commissioned by Ingram, which is Apple’s distributor in India. It was written and conceptualized by Leo Burnett India and directed by Vikramaditya Motwane. It is expected to go on air soon.
