Blair called her children ‘demons’.

WASHINGTON, DC: The Detroit mother who remorselessly pleaded guilty last month to murdering two of her children and putting their bodies in a freezer in the family’s home is slated to spend the rest of her life behind bars, as Wayne County Circuit Judge Dana Hathaway sentenced the 36-year-old Mitchelle Blair to life without the possibility of parole during her sentencing hearing Friday.
Blair was charged with two counts of felony murder, two counts of premeditated murder, and one count of torture in the deaths of her children, Stoni Ann Blair, 13, and Stephen Gage Berry, 9, reported NBC News.
She called them “demons” and admitted to beating, burning and killing them, revealed Detroit Free Press.
Blair admitted Stoni’s death was “intentional,” but Stephen’s was not. She was, however, proud of killing him, reported the Detroit News.
“I punched her. I put a bag over her head until she lost consciousness,” Blair said of her daughter at a June 30 hearing before Hathaway.
She said she also threw scalding water on Stoni and hit her in the head many times. The deranged mother also stated she starved her daughter by limiting her food to oatmeal once a day.
Stephen died when Blair placed a garbage bag over his head, choked him with a belt, punched him, and burned him with scalding water, per her own account.
In announcing Blair’s punishment, Hathaway told Blair her children lived in fear of her and that that she created a “house of horrors” for her four children.
“After all is said and done, you imposed the death penalty on your own children,” said Hathaway.
Blair, who stood before the judge, stone-faced, responded: “I did.”
As she had done in past hearings, Blair displayed visible anger and blamed the fathers of her four children for failing to help her.
“If I had a chance to do it again, I would,” Blair said about killing her children. “I do not feel any remorse for what I did to Stoni because she had no remorse for what she did.”
