WASHINGTON, DC: A registered sex offender wanted in connection with the shootings of four people is in custody, according to Maine State Police.
State Police said a woman who was with Anthony Lord, 35, was also safe. There were no immediate details on who the woman is or why she was with Lord, according to the Portland Press Herald.
The shootings occurred overnight in Lee, Benedicta, and Silver Ridge. There is no report on the conditions of those shot, reported local news outlets, and the names of the victims were not immediately known.
Lord’s 6-month-old boy, Larry Earl Lord, died May 7 in Bangor. State police continue to investigate the circumstances of the child’s death, spokesman Steve McCausland said.
Lord has a far-reaching criminal history dating back to 1999, when he was still a teenager. He was sentenced in 2002 to 364 days in prison, all of which were eventually suspended, for assault and criminal trespass.
That same year, he was charged with Class A gross sexual assault and Class C unlawful sexual contact. He pleaded guilty in 2004 to the lesser charge and was sentenced to five years in prison, with all but 18 months suspended. That conviction resulted in Lord having to register as a sex offender.
Lord also has convictions for theft, operating under the influence, trafficking tobacco while in prison, and most recently, domestic violence assault. He was sentenced in February on the domestic assault charge to 10 months with all but 45 days suspended.

Sounds to me like this guy was an all around danger. Not sure why ‘sex offender’ needs to be in the headline.
