NEW YORK: The Network of Indian Professionals, North America (NetIP) will host its annual conference this year from October 9 – 11, in New York City.
The 2015 conference will celebrate the organization’s silver anniversary, 25 years since inception. NetIP serves the needs of South Asian professionals in North America, as they grow in their professional and personal lives, according to a press release.
NetIP’s goal is to develop and engage a cohesive network of professionals to benefit the community in areas of business, philanthropy, political and cultural awareness. NetIP has 23 chapters across North America with 60% of members having graduate or professional degrees and over 35% work for Fortune 1000 companies.
NetIP’s annual conference brings together South Asian professionals, empowering them to explore their heritage and move beyond their traditional boundaries. Over the years, NetIP has hosted this signature event all across North America. The 2015 conference will be hosted at the iconic Marriot Marquis hotel in the heart of Times Square.
The conference themed “Begin Again” aims to inspire individuals to reinvest in the organizations and the communities in which they live and work. “Begin Again” signifies that no challenge is too big to overcome and that “You are only as strong as your next move”.
The conference will achieve this through thought provoking panels and workshops, inspirational and motivational speakers, and professional development seminars, networking opportunities and tools to build an action plan for change. It will host hundreds of professionals of varying backgrounds, empowering individuals to build relationships, explore new ideas, and move beyond traditional boundaries. The conference will showcase the organization and emphasize the foundational pillars on which NetIP was founded 25 years ago: professional development, community service, political and cultural awareness.
The agenda for the conference will include influential South Asian speakers from various fields of health, technology, business and entertainment. NetIP also plans to include a health fair as part of the three-day event and introduce a ‘Shark Tank’ competition where creative leads and start-ups are given an opportunity to present their ideas in front of a panel of investors and venture capitalists.
Other activities include a speed dating event, evening galas and social mixers. Another highlight of the 2015 conference will be for attendees to experience the Big Apple via a boat cruise and other organized activities centralized around the city. Early registration is encouraged, as previous conferences have been sold out with over 500 attendees.
