RICHMOND: Virginia Gov. Terry McAuliffe has appointed Sunita Gupta to the Board of Trustees of the Science Museum of Virginia.
Gupta, President and Chief Operating Officer of eHealthObjects, is one of the four newly appointed board members of the prestigious museum. The others are Tiffany Jana, CEO of TMI Consulting; Matt Mansell, Vice President of Government and Regulatory Affairs, Virginia Health Care Association; and Mary Ellen Pauli, Director of Course Leaders for WorldStrides.
“I am honored to be appointed in the Board of Trustees of Science Museum of Virginia,” the Gurgaon, Haryana,-born Gupta told The American Bazaar. “I thank Honorable Governor McAuliffe and Secretary of Commonwealth, Mr. Levar Stoney, for this appointment. Science and Technology has been my passion since I was a kid. I look forward to work with Science Museum’s Board members and the executive team on its mission and vision to meet its goals for next 5 years.”
Gupta is the co-founder of eHealthObjects, a Richmond- based health technology company. Her husband, Sanjay Mittal, is the CEO of the firm.
A corporate and community leader with over 20 years of professional experience, Gupta lives in Henrico County.
She currently serves as the co-chair of the Richmond chapter of the American India Foundation (AIF), a philanthropy organization. Last year, she led the efforts to raise more than a hundred thousand dollars at the first AIF Richmond Chapter Gala.
The museum, founded in 1970, is housed in the historic Broad Street Station, which was built in 1917. It was designed by John Russell Pope, whose designs include the Jefferson Memorial, the National Archives and the National Gallery of Art in Washington.
