On Monday morning, renowned author Paulo Coelho received a gift from India. The gift was sent by none other than Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan.
Do you know what the gift was? A set of DVDs of SRK’s movies including ‘My name is Khan’, ‘RaOne’, ‘Ashoka’ and ‘Chak De India’.
The Brazilian author, who is famous for his books ‘The Alchemist’, ‘Brida’ and ‘Eleven Minutes’ among others, was delighted at having received the gift, but was puzzled as to which one of the movies to watch first. Later, Coelho expressed his confusion on his Twitter handle.
“What a Monday morning gift, @iamsrk! Now I need to know where to start,†Coelho tweeted from Geneva, along with an image.

He also posted the image on Facebook also. In the photograph, DVDs of films ‘Swadesh’, ‘Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna’, ‘Ra.One’ and ‘Ashoka’ can be seen sprawled on the floor.
A few minutes later, King Khan responded by tweeting to his fans, “Just sent sum movies to @paulocoelho. Please tweet him ur suggestions which one to watch first.â€

Later, Coelho commented on his own Facebook post, saying: “His first (and the only) movie that I watched (this year, even if it was released in 2008) was ‘My name is Khan’. And not only the movie was excellent, but SRK deserved an Oscar if Hollywood was not manipulated. He kindly offered to send the other titles – as you probably guess, it is not easy to find them in Switzerland.”
The conversation started back in August, when Coelho praised SRK’s work on Twitter and wrote “My name is Khan (2009) is the best movie I watched this year @karanjohar @iamsrk Congrats for My name is Khan. I wish we could see more of your movies in Europe. I had to wait 6 years to watch this!”
In response, Shah Rukh had asked Coelho’s address to send his movies.
