Bollywood actor Shah Rukh Khan was given a second Enforcement Directorate summons within six months in connection with the valuation of shares of his co-owned IPL cricket team, Kolkata Knight Riders.
This is the third time that he has been summoned over the Indian premier League probe, said a media report.
The ED issued the notice to the Bollywood actor over alleged irregularities in the valuation of shares of Knight Riders Sports Limited that were transferred to Mauritius-based Sea Island Investment Limited, the reports said.
The ED believes that the KKR shares sold in 2008 were undervalued.
Knight Riders Sports Pvt Ltd is jointly owned by Shah Rukh Khan, actress Juhi Chawla and her husband Jay Mehta. The three of them suspected to have violated foreign exchange management act in this deal.
The actor is said to have sought more time to appear before the ED citing that he is out of town for a few days, Times Now reported.
