Motorola will be launching two new versions of their most popular DROID models – the DROID Turbo 2 and DROID Maxx 2 – in the US on October 29.
The highlight of the DROID Turbo 2 is its display (branded as Moto Shatter Shield), which according to Motorola won’t crack or shatter for up to four years. The smartphone also comes with a water repelling nano-coating.
Motorola has said in its official blog that there are more than 1,000 ways to design your phone the way you want on Moto Maker. Users can choose new material options like soft grip, ballistic nylon or genuine Horween pebbled leather.
You can redesign your smartphone for one time within two years of purchase. DROID Turbo 2 is the first Droid-branded device to be able to take advantage of that. This feature is available only until December 31, 2015.
Both the smartphones will be available online and in stores starting from October 29. DROID Turbo 2 is priced at $624, which can also be divided into 24 monthly payments of $26. The DROID Maxx 2 priced at $384 or $16 per month for 24 months.
