Indian American actor and former Obama administration aide Kal Penn is set to serve as the host of the upcoming “Superhuman” competition masterminded by the Fox network.
The two-hour special will test the abilities of 12 contestants who possess a distinct, nearly super-human ability in fields such as memory, hearing, taste, touch, smell and sight, according to The Wrap.
Penn will join boxer Mike Tyson and actress Mary Lynn Rajskub, and neurosurgeon Rahul Jandial on a panel that will offer comments and guide the audience, which will ultimately decide who wins the competition and takes home the $100,000 prize.
Originally produced by Endemol Shine Germany , the extraordinary competition format has been a breakout hit in China, Italy, Brazil, Spain and, most recently, France, according to Broadway World.
