Monsanto ignores the founder of e-mail.
By Raif Karerat
The Indian American scientist who invented e-mail has thrown down a gauntlet to the infamous Monsanto Company, one of the largest producers of genetically modified foods.
In an attempt to alert the public to the dangers of unregulated GMOs, Dr. V.A. Shiva Ayyadurai has challenged that if Monsanto can disprove his research, which shows that GMO soy contains high levels of formaldehyde and a depletion of glutathione, he will sign over his $10 million building in Cambridge, Massachusetts, according to a report from Tap Into West Essex, a local news outlet.
“If this is what it takes to bring the truth to the American people, then I am more than willing to do it,” Ayyadurai stated in a press release.
Shiva Ayyadurai, an American scientist with a PhD in systems biology from MIT, exposed a lack of acceptable testing standards for Monsanto’s GMOs through research published in the peer-reviewed journal Agricultural Sciences.
Ayyadurai’s criticism of Monsanto also lies on a personal level that relates back to his childhood in India, according to Tap:
India has a caste system, like the apartheid system of South Africa. The Untouchables and Sudras are at the bottom, with the priests and religious leaders on top. Well, I come from one of the lower castes of India, fluctuating between Untouchable and Sudra, so this is very personal to me. So, in India, Monsanto ran a campaign to tell the Untouchables that the upper caste was trying to screw them by denying them GMO technology. Incredible—they were using the caste system and its oppressed majority to be their sales people for GMOs. That’s how they specifically and deliberately work, while knowing that there are no standards for assessment of GMO safety, to manipulate all of us to think they are doing the world some amazing service.
Ayyadurai is currently organizing a Standards Committee for GMOs which he has openly invited Monsanto officials to participate in. He told Patch that he has made repeated attempts to contact and meet with Monsanto officials to discuss his findings, but that the agrochemical juggernaut has thus far ignored his requests.

This man is a HERO!! So many willing to join in the barking but here is a person with data and willing to bet his own $10000000 to be disproved!!
Instead of giving a building to a company who neither wants it of needs it…he could sell the building and take the ten million dollar proceeds and donate it to the
“Tamil Nadu – One Nation – Legal Defense Fund” he planned on launching on February 16, 2015. So far it appears as if he has raised zero dollars for it but if he used the proceeds from the sale of his building he would be half way there! Not only would he be able to follow through on helping the people of his birth nation, imagine the great publicity he would generate for not only the country but for himself as well!
