Shiva Kiran ended his life after scoring below par marks in exams.

The body of an Indian student in North Carolina University, Shiva Kiran, 23, who committed suicide after being depressed over below par marks he scored in exams, has been flown to India.
The Indian Embassy in Washington, DC, released a statement lauding the efforts of the local Indian American community in North Carolina which helped in sending the body to India without delay.
The minister for community affairs N.K. Mishra, who coordinated with the Indian American community and the university to fly the body back to India, praised the efforts.
“The Indian American community, especially the Telugu communities in North Carolina and the Washington, DC, area, worked with the Embassy of India and the university administration very closely to arrange to have the body flown to India without any delay. I commend them for that,” said Mishra.
The student, who was from Hyderabad, committed suicide, according to a report by IANS, citing family sources in India.
Kiran ended his life by hanging from the ceiling fan in his room in the university hostel last Thursday. The authorities in the US informed the distraught family on Friday.
He had taken admission in the university six months ago, after he graduated with a mechanical engineering degree from a college in Hyderabad. His family lives at Indira Nagar in Ramanthapur area of Hyderabad.
