University launches July, 2016, in Greater Noida.

Dr. Saji Gopinath has been appointed as the Dean, School of Management of Bennett University, an initiative of the Times Group, located in Greater Noida, Uttar Pradesh, and launching in July of this year. He will spearhead the university’s new MBA program.
Gopinath joins Bennett University from IIM Kozhikode (IIMK), where he was Dean-Academics for four years. During this period he had set up a satellite center of the Institute in Kochi to enhance its footprint in the executive education space, according to a press release.

These are exciting times in the fields of higher education and I am hopeful Bennett University will lead from the front and provide the ideal platform for world-class education in India,” said Gopinath, in a statement.
Dr. Yaj Medury, Vice Chancellor, Bennett University said, in a statement, “We are elated to have Dr Saji Gopinath as the Dean of Bennett University. He comes on board with rich experience and I believe he will play a pivotal role in making Bennett University one of the leading centres for higher education in India.”
In his previous role, Gopinath served as the Director of T.A. Pai Management Institute for two years and played a key role in getting coveted AACSB Accreditation for the Institute. Earlier, he was a professor at IIMK for 17 years and a faculty at the National Institute of Technology for eight years. He is a graduate of the University of Kerala and completed his doctorate from the Indian Institute of Science, Bengaluru. A multi-faceted personality, he specializes in the fields of operations management, strategic management and information technology.
Bennett University will initially offer a B. Tech in Engineering (with specializations in Computer Science Engineering, Electronics & Communications and Mechanical Engineering), and an MBA in Management.
